Why do adolescents think and act the way they do?
This highly interactive training is loaded with opportunities to explore the newest research on teen brain development from a teen perspective.

As a result of this training participants will be able to:

  • Identify how changes in the brain during teen years effect such areas as emotion recognition, impulse control, and memory
  • Identify the potential short and long term effects of substance use on the adolescent brain
  • Incorporate ideas and activities from the training into youth groups and risk reduction programs
  • Experience Positive Youth Development in action!
