Why do adolescents think and act the way they do?
This highly interactive training is loaded with opportunities to explore the newest research on teen brain development from a teen perspective.
As a result of this training participants will be able to:
- Identify how changes in the brain during teen years effect such areas as emotion recognition, impulse control, and memory
- Identify the potential short and long term effects of substance use on the adolescent brain
- Incorporate ideas and activities from the training into youth groups and risk reduction programs
- Experience Positive Youth Development in action!
